November 3, 2009 Election Results
Several TwinWest communities and school districts held local elections on November 3. Here are the results.
Golden Valley: Paula Pentel and DeDe Scanlon were re-elected to the City Council.
Hopkins: Kristi Halverson and Cheryl Youakim were re-elected to the City Council.
Minnetonka: Dick Allendorf and Amber Greves were re-elected to the City Council. Mayor Terry Schneider also retained his seat.
St. Louis Park: Sue Sanger was re-elected to the City Council. Anne Mavity, Julia Ross, and Sue Santa were elected to open seats on the Council.
Anoka-Hennepin School District: Voters returned three incumbent candidates to the Anoka-Hennepin School Board: John Hoffman, Mike Sullivan, and Kathy Tingelstad. Voters also renewed a referendum levy to provide approximately $8 million in general operating funds each year for eight years.
Hopkins School District: Voters re-elected an incumbent, Betsy Scheurer, and two new members, Susan Wootten and Warren Goodroad, to the Hopkins Board of Education.
Minnetonka Public Schools: Voters re-elected incumbents Erin Adams and Pamela Langseth to the School Board, and also elected Peg Keenan.
Robbinsdale School District: Voters elected a new School Board member, Mark Bomchill, and re-elected three incumbents: Patsy Green, Linda Johnson, and Tom Walsh.
St. Louis Park School District: Incumbents Bruce Richardson, Larry Shapiro, and Jim Yarosh were all re-elected to the St. Louis Park School Board.
Wayzata Public Schools: Voters elected a new School Board member, Susan Gaither, and re-elected Sue Droegemueller, John Moroz, and Carter Peterson. Voters also passed an operating levy renewal of $18 million per year and a technology levy renewal of $3.1 million per year.
