New Member Orientations
New Member Orientations are held the first Wednesday of each month, to welcome new members and new employees of current members. These informative sessions are one-hour, fast-paced sessions to help you become acquainted with TwinWest’s valuable programs and events which comprised the TwinWest experience.

Volunteerism
Volunteering for one of TwinWest’s many committees or task forces directly involves TwinWest members in the Chamber. TwinWest deeply appreciates its dedicated volunteers, who generously donate their time to promote and execute programs and events.

Volunteers can expect their TwinWest experience to provide:

• An opportunity to give time, talent, and resources to programs which impact the TwinWest community
• A chance to build upon organizational and planning skills
• An opportunity to grow professionally through commitment and leadership
• A chance to represent the interests of the TwinWest membership

Hardworking TwinWest staff and volunteers work together to create and execute successful TwinWest programs and events.  Volunteers can expect the TwinWest staff to provide:
• Necessary background details to make sound decisions
• Assistance in the problem-solving process
• Budget information to achieve decisions based upon the annual business plan
• Support to augment volunteers’ talents and abilities

TwinWest volunteers have the opportunity to grow professionally by:
• Securing sponsorships
• Promoting program awareness and selling tickets
• Making policy recommendations to the Board of Directors
• Recruiting members for the committee
• Securing speakers and entertainment
• Deciding budget allocation

TwinWest staff will aid volunteers by:
• Setting menus and negotiating catering services

“In order to realize business relationships within the Chamber, you have to get involved. TwinWest makes it easy by providing lots of different opportunities; every week you can find something to do. I’ve served on many different committees, and through that involvement, I got to know Shane Dols and Tom Morris at Berger Transfer and Storage. Now, Berger is offering AFLAC insurance to its employees in all 16 of its nationwide locations. People do business with people they’re more familiar with. I credit my TwinWest involvement for paving the way for this new partnership.”
