2008 Small Business Awards Luncheon Keynote Speaker
Jill Blashack Strahan, founder and CEO of Tastefully Simple, is a top female entrepreneur and an inspiration to women across the nation. Starting the business in 1995 with meager financial resources, and enduring the unexpected loss of both her brother and husband in 1998, Blashack Strahan persevered to grow Tastefully Simple to a $138 million company with more than 300 employees and 25,000 independent consultants. She recently published a book called "Simply Shine: Stories That Stirred the Fire."
 
 

2008 Small Business Awards Luncheon Emcee

Jeff Passolt is a main news anchor for KMSP FOX 9. He began his career there in 1996, quickly making the transition from sports to news. Prior to that, he spent 14 years covering Minnesota sports with KARE-11 and spent two years as sports director at KMGH-TV in Denver. Jeff has three Emmys for Best News Anchor and enjoys devoting time to local and national charities.

During a reception conducted prior to the luncheon, TwinWest Foundation scholarships are awarded to area high school students our future business leaders and entrepreneurs. The scholarship donors and students are also recognized at the luncheon.
