It’s blaze orange hunting season, but I feel like orange is all I’ve seen in the west metro lately.  We just lived through a summer where you couldn’t turn without seeing or running into an orange cone.

The good news is that we’re one road construction season away from the completion of some major projects, namely Highway 100 and Interstate 494.  The bad news is that no sooner will those projects be done and Highway 169 will be shut down. Completely.

According to MN Department of Transportation, there will be no through traffic on the Nine Mile Creek bridge in Hopkins, Minnetonka and Edina (Bren Road to 7th Street).

If this impacts your business, start planning now by following http://www.dot.state.mn.us/metro/projects/hwy169hopkins/.  Starting to educate your employees about this project, planning for off hour start times, or generating new routes to work should all be started now.
