    Critical Insights From Two Leading Healthcare Professionals

    As the COVID-19 epidemic continues, our April “Issues and Insights” legislative Webinar will feature two stellar Health Care industry professionals: Craig Hedberg from the University of Minnesota, and Jeffrey Shoemate from Allina Health. Both will provide an update on the affect of this health care pandemic on the business community. Their updates will be followed by a question and answer session.

    Jan Callison, Commissioner for District 6, will kick off the event with a COVID-19 update for Hennepin County regarding service center innovations, pilot program locations, spending allocations, and property tax updates. 

    Craig W. Hedberg, PhD, 
    Professor and Interim Division Head, of Health Sciences at the University of Minnesota & Co-Director and Minnesota Integrated Food Safety Center of Excellence

    Hedberg’s research focuses on foodborne illness and infectious disease outbreaks and he’s worked on several national groups to prevent foodborne illness, including the CDC's Food Safety Modernization Act Surveillance Working Group. His work also focuses on surveillance, outbreak investigation, and public health preparedness.

    Jeffrey Shoemate, 
    Chief Marketing and Communications officer of Allina Health

    Allina is a leading not-for-profit healthcare delivery system in Minnesota and Western Wisconsin. In this role, Shoemate leads a team responsible for representing the consumer, building the Allina Health branded experience and attracting consumers to drive growth and sustainability.

    The webinar is limited to 110 attendees.  We will be recording the webinar and will post it on our social media sites and COVID-19 Resource page immediately after the webinar.
