    Event Description:
Are you curious about how leaders got to where they are today?  What made them successful?  Did they have the same pitfalls as me?

The Leadership Luncheon Series is a series of five luncheons from November-April. Learn from the stories, struggles and successes of local, high level business leaders who are featured at each luncheon, gain exclusive access to a large group of other west metro business people and help support your community by learning about a TwinWest member nonprofit at each luncheon. Networking opportunities are available before and after!

This luncheon will be featuring Mike Lindell, CEO of My Pillow

Mike was born in Minnesota near where his 260,000 sq. ft. MyPillow® factory now stands. It’s a “family business,” his kids range in age from 26 to 31 and all of them have worked or still work at MyPillow along with some 1100 workers.
It wasn't an easy road personally or professionally for Lindell.  He ran lunch wagons, night clubs and small town bars. He was also a sports better, a cocaine user and abject alcoholic. In his upcoming autobiography Mike writes "I was an addict in every sense of the word."
But all that changed in 2004 when he began the invention process for MyPillow. He sold at small tradeshows and even street fairs. But the business grew. Mike feels that his biggest breakthrough happened in Jan. 2009 when he finally, and for good, conquered his addictions with, as he says, the Grace of God. He always wears his trademark cross around his neck.
He’s always kept a promise to himself and made sure that every element that goes into his pillows are 100% originated in America. There is no outsourcing of work products - even his call center & customer service are based in the US.
Mike Lindell is more than a self-made man, a savvy businessman and a genius marketer; Mike is also a man of his word.  He seals many deals for his near-billion dollar company with a handshake. "Some good people took a chance on me when I was just starting out and to this day they still have my trust."
